Prélude d’une Femme…

I don’t recall there being an interlude between TdF and TdFF in previous years, but then my memory is, ah, borked beyond all recovery. But I used the time to finish up World of Wool’s mystery spinalong clues – Imitation, and Golden Fleece. I also figured out whodunnit, but won’t reveal in case people are still working on this. I’m pleased to see WoW is selling each clue individually, as I’m quite keen to spin more of Simplicity and Golden Fleece, and possibly Imitation as well. I am well impressed with these 3, despite them containing fibres that I usually don’t get on with. Simplicity contains Targhee, which is supposed to be like Merino (with which I have a poor relationship), and the other two have Rambouillet, which has caused me some trouble before. But all 3 have been a pleasure to spin, once I got used to the weird feeling that I was spinning teeny-tiny little streams of bubbles.

World of Wool’s Imitation
World of Wool’s Golden Fleece

Both still 1 ply, Imitation came in at 679m, and Golden Fleece at 824m – both cobweb weight, though the latter would still be cobweb even if I 2-ply it!
